BWC to Address Coverage Gap for Ohio Employers with Claims Arising Outside Ohio

Beginning sometime in the first half of 2016, the Bureau will provide optional insurance coverage for Ohio employers whose employees work outside Ohio. The Bureau has contracted with 2 insurance companies to provide an insurance solution that ensures coverage for employees regardless of the jurisdiction of the injury. Only North Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming are excluded from this insurance option because these states do not permit private workers’ compensation insurance. To read more, click here.
