Industrial Commission to Move to Web Conference Hearings

Telephone Hearings are so 2020. The Industrial Commission of Ohio plans to begin transitioning the hearing process from telephone hearings to web conferencing via the Webex platform by mid-April, 2021. Parties and representatives still will be able to attend hearings by telephone if desired by calling the designated conference line, entering the access ID, and waiting for the hearing officer to provide access to the online hearing room. The Industrial Commission has issued a short list of best practices for web hearings. For additional remote hearing tips and concerns, check out our recent webinar. Despite the current pace of vaccinations, the Commission has not announced when in-person hearings will resume. We will continue to provide updates on all aspects of the hearing process as more details become available.
