The Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association (NOHRA) hosted its 10th annual diversity workshop, facilitated by the Ability Center, in which Mark Barnes and Dana Quick participated. Each participant was assigned a disability and cycled through various stations that provided information about different disabilities and assistive devices. Dana’s assigned disability was blindness, and Mark’s disability required him to use a walker. Other disabilities included in the informative presentation were deafness, using a wheelchair, or communicating only by writing. Dana is also a member of NOHRA’s Diversity Committee and helped plan the event. For more information about NOHRA and future events, visit their website.
