OSHA and the American Staffing Association announced on May 21, 2014, that they will work together to increase awareness among staffing agencies and host employers about the joint responsibilities of a safe workplace. Through OSHA’s Alliance Program, this partnership will provide information, guidance and access to training resources with the goal of protecting the health and safety of temporary workers. OSHA and the American Staffing Association agreed to distribute OSHA guidance materials and information on the recognition and prevention of workplace hazards. The development of effective communication programs between staffing firms, host employers, and temporary workers about workplace safety issues is a primary concern for OSHA.
